As i am quite experienced already with lighting and use of the camera, i have learnt many other things such as what each shot is called.
Lighting is used in many aspects, it creates different moods on set and could portray genre. For example, dark lighting could symbolize a cold atmosphere and almost expressing the genre which could mean that the movie is a horror or thriller movie.
The camera has many different devices such as zooming in/out, self timing etc.
What we have done in lesson was to place the camera on the tripod and explore its health and safety before use; then we experimented on zooming in and out to create the shots that are to be used in making a film.
I'd like to see this more highly developed so that you are talking in detail about what you know and giving examples to illustrate.
